Season Information:
Schedules for four seasons will be developed throughout the year. Fall,
Winter 1, Winter 2, and Summer.

Boys games consist of four, twelve minute quarters with
two minute breaks between quarters. Girls games consist of two 25 minute
halves and a three minute half-time. A six-minute warm-up will be allowed on the field at the beginning of each game. We encourage stretching completely off field prior to taking the field to help avoid potential injuries. Please exit the field promptly upon completion of the game to grant the next team a full warm-up session.
On the two indoor "box lacrosse" fields, most teams play 6V6 (5 field players plus a
goalie on each side), except 3rd & 4th grade play 7v7.
On the outdoor regulation size field, Male teams play 10v10 and Female teams play 12v12.
Standard outdoor rules are used for all play on the
outdoor size field.
The Sports Zone schedules games, referees, keeps standings and posts results. Please
note that The Sports Zone cannot guarantee make ups due to weather
cancellations.
Team Information:
Roster - For the indoor size fields, roster maximum is 16 players for youth teams and 14 players for adult teams.
For the outdoor size field, roster maximum is 24 for both youth and adult players.
Players may participate in more than one league, but may not play for two teams in the same division.
Uniform Color -Team jerseys must be the same color. Numbered jerseys are required. Goalkeeper
jerseys must be unique from both teams' jerseys.
No cleats. Sneakers, flats, or turf shoes only please.
Youth Information:
Youth teams usually play on weekends, however some weekday games may be
necessary. Games are scheduled every hour. There is a maximum of 16 players on each team for the "box lacrosse"
fields and 24 players for the outdoor size field.
Grade Categories:
- 3rd & 4th
- 5th & 6th
- 7th & 8th
- High School JV
- High School Varsity
Note: Youth players may be moved up to the next grade category due to
advanced skill level with the approval of The Sports Zone management. The
Sports Zone reserves the right to modify/restructure leagues/divisions and grade
categories based upon based on player/team skill levels, age, grade, or due to
space availability.
Levels:
Youth A - Advanced, Strong players, Strong teams
Youth B - Intermediate, Some experience
Please note that some levels might be combined (e.g. A/B) at the discretion of The Sports Zone management.
Adult Information:
Teams usually play once a week, typically on weekdays between 5pm and 11pm. Games are scheduled every hour. There is a maximum of 14 players
on a team for the "box lacrosse" fields and 24 players for the outdoor size field.
Age Requirements:
Adult players must be 18 or older. High school players are not permitted to play in the adult leagues (see Youth Information).
Levels:
- Men's A - Intermediate/Advanced, Experienced players
- Men's Open - Open to all experience levels
- Men's O-30 - Men over age 30
- Women's Open - Open to all experience levels
Please note that some levels might be combined (e.g. A/B) at the discretion of The Sports Zone management.
Application and Registration Fees:

Team Fees:
The 2008/2009 Team season fee for the
full "regulation outdoor" size field is as follows:
- Winter 1 Girls or Boys HS (9 games; Sat., Nov.1 -
Dec. 27) = $1,900
- Winter 2 Boys or Girls HS (11 games; Jan 3 - March 14)= $2,400
The 2008/2009 Box lacrosse Youth team fee per session is as follows:
- Winter 1 Youth (9 games; Nov.1 -
Dec. 27) = $1,200
- Winter 2 Youth (12 games; Jan 3 - March 21) = $1,600
All team fees
include referee fees. A $300.00 non-refundable deposit is required with application.
For online applications, we must receive the deposit within 3 days of
notification of league acceptance. If we do not receive the deposit within
3 days, your spot will no longer be held in the league - NO EXCEPTIONS.
Team roster,
waivers and balance are due
by the date indicated in your league acceptance email from The Sports
Zone.
Failure
to submit the full payment and completed forms will result in removal from the
league. The Team Representative is responsible for submitting the
application, deposit,
roster,
waivers, and balance due. Please note that teams are placed in leagues on a space available basis, in the order in which they are registered and paid.
The Team Representative will be
notified by e-mail or mail regarding application
acceptance. If your team is not placed, your deposit will be returned to you.
Schedules will be developed one week prior to the start of the
season. Cancellations must be requested at least four weeks prior to the start of
the season, however, please
note that deposits are non-refundable. League schedules are reviewed by The Sports Zone management and are subject to change.

If
paying by credit card, it will be necessary to come to The Sports Zone to swipe
your card. We do not take credit card deposits via the phone. Thank you.
Insurance Requirements:
Out of state youth teams must provide proof of registration and permission to travel forms. In addition, the parent/guardian of each youth player must sign a mandatory waiver form before the first game of the season.
All adult players must sign a mandatory waiver form before the start of the season.
Each player must have major medical insurance coverage to participate.
